SARS: Minister BEGS Naira Marley to halt protest as police makes option of Live Instagram chat with singer

This is beautiful. And we hope this won't be just a mere chat but something done to stop the killings, theft and torture immediately.

The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, has taking to twitter, to urge popular singer, Naira Marley not to embark on a peaceful protest alongside other Nigerian youths.

Dare said the grievances faced by Nigerians are being addressed, hence no need for the protest.

Naira Marley had called for a peaceful protest over the illegality of some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

The singer had vowed to lead the protest against injustice meted out on Nigerians today.

The Minister's tweets appealing to him reads;

In a tweet, the minister wrote: “I urge you and other youth not to embark upon any protest. Your grievances are being addressed at the highest level of government.

“As the Minister in charge of youth I know this is an issue that must be tackled. Government is doing just that.”

The police body has also tweeted that the Force PRO- DCP Frank Mba will be having a live instagram chat with Naira Marley at 11am today to answer questions and discuss the issue of SARS.
