Fox confirmed they have not hired a celebrity host to emcee the annual event, which will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles in September.
The last time they aired the show without a host was in 2003, 16 years ago.
This comes six months after the Academy Awards went host free after the selection process became weighed down by public opinion.
